Donald took swipes at former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, blamed former Presidents Obama and Joe Biden, and DEI for the air disaster that happened on his watch.

The president said he will issue an executive order to construct a detention camp with room for 30,000 migrants on the U.S. naval base in Cuba.
President Donald Trump said he will order the construction of a mass detention camp that can hold 30,000 deportees at the Guantánamo Bay Naval Base, outlining plans Wednesday for the largest U.S. facility of its kind.
“We even don’t trust other countries to hold them, and we don’t want them coming back, so we’re going to send them out to Guantánamo,” Trump said. “This will double our capacity immediately.”
As Trump rushes to try to deport “millions” of migrants, one obstacle U.S. authorities face is that some countries block or limit U.S. deportation flights. Trump said he would overcome their opposition.

DoJ fires several officials who worked on Trump election interference cases
The justice department has terminated officials who worked with special counsel Jack Smith on the 2020 election interference cases against Trump, several publications are reporting.
In a report that was released earlier this month, Smith concluded Trump engaged in “unprecedented criminal effort” to remain in power after losing the 2020 presidential election.
More than a dozen officials were fired after acting attorney general James McHenry said he did “not trust these officials to assist in faithfully implementing the president’s agenda”.
One of the recommendations of Project 2525 was to bring the Department of Justice the judiciary to heel by installing Trump sycophants. Doing so would allow them to have total control over the DOJ and the Courts.

ABC News host Martha Raddatz put Zod on the hot seat when she questioned him about raiding elementary schools for phantom MS-13 members with brownshirts.
RADDATZ: What criminals are hiding in schools? Middle schools, elementary schools, are you going to go into those? How many MS-13 members are at age 14 and 17?
ZOD: Many of them.
So, look, if it's a national security threat, public safety threat, and what you need to understand is a case-by-case basis. Name another agency, another law enforcement agency that has those type of requirements that they can't walk into a school or a doctor's office or on a medical campus.
No other agency has those standards.
These are well-trained officers with a lot of discretion, and when it comes to the sense of location, there's still going to be supervised review, so it's not like it's an open issue, but ICE officers should have discretion to decide if a national security threat or a public safety threat is in one of these facilities, then there should be an option for them to make the arrest.
RADDATZ: But someday you could go into those schools and grab people who are just in the country illegally?
ZOD: On a case-by-case basis, depending who they are, what the circumstances are.

Three Pregnant Washington State Women Sue Trump Over Birthright Citizenship
A new lawsuit challenging President Donald J. Trump’s recent executive order on birthright citizenship has been filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, according to court documents.
The Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP), a Seattle-based non-profit organization, filed the suit on behalf of three pregnant non-citizen women and a proposed class of others similarly situated, arguing the order violates the U.S. Constitution.
The order directs federal agencies, starting 30 days after signing, to deny documentation of U.S. citizenship to newborns whose mothers were “unlawfully present” in the United States and whose fathers were not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents or to newborns whose mothers were in the U.S. with “temporary” status and whose fathers were not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents at the time of birth.
The lawsuit argues the executive order seeks to end jus soli, the legal principle of birthright citizenship based on being born on U.S. soil, and that it contradicts the plain text of the Fourteenth Amendment.
There is a legislative process for amending the constitution. Beginning with the proposed amendment being approved by the House and Senate followed by approval by 38 states. No occupant of the Oval Office, Including Donald Trump has the authority to amend or invalidate any part of the constitution.

The Pentagon is rushing to provide the new administration with options that could vastly expand the military’s footprint from Texas to California.
U.S. officials are preparing to send thousands of additional troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, including, potentially, soldiers equipped with 20-ton Stryker combat vehicles, according to four U.S. officials familiar with the planning.
The Pentagon is rushing to cobble together options for an operation that President Donald Trump has declared a national emergency. These additional service members and capabilities, if all approved, would vastly expand the military’s footprint from Texas to California, where roughly 2,500 troops are positioned to assist U.S. Customs and Border Protection in the detection and apprehension of migrants seeking to enter the United States illegally.
Any veteran of the Army and Marines will tell they are not trained to enforce laws or to capture those accused of breaking laws. They are trained for war. This deployment will end up getting people killed.

Judge blocks Trump's executive order ending birthright citizenship
A federal judge has temporarily blocked Donald Trump’s executive order ending the constitutional guarantee of birthright citizenship, calling it “blatantly unconstitutional”.
US district judge John Coughenour ruled in the case brought by the states of Washington, Arizona, Illinois and Oregon, which argue the 14th amendment and supreme court case law have cemented birthright citizenship.
That executive order, which Trump signed on Monday after taking office, directs US agencies to refuse to recognise the citizenship of children born in the US if neither their mother nor father is a US citizen or legal permanent resident.

Speaker Mike Johnson announced on Wednesday that House Republicans would establish a new select subcommittee to investigate the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol and counter “false narratives” about it, continuing the party’s efforts to rewrite the history of the riot.
Mr. Johnson’s announcement came just two days after President Trump pardoned those charged in connection with the assault. It suggested that Republicans planned to use their power over the government to continue promoting their own sanitized version of what had happened when a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol, disrupting the certification of the 2020 election.

Kentucky police are investigating after a series of racist Ku Klux Klan flyers telling immigrants to “leave now” were distributed across the state on inauguration day.
The KKK is one of the most infamous white supremacist hate groups in the US.
The flyers show a cartoon of Uncle Sam kicking at a family of five, including a baby and two young children. Uncle Sam is holding a document which says “Proclamation” and states: “We need your help. Monitor and track all immigrants. Report them all.”
The documents, which include a Kentucky-area phone number and an invitation to “join us”, were distributed on the day Donald Trump took office. The president has repeatedly demonized immigrants and has vowed to launch “the largest deportation program in American history”.
Somehow I don't envision the police in Kentucky looking to hard into this horrible incident. As Republicans own that states government as they have embraced Trump's racism and white nationalism.

Trump has now sent out the call to the MAGA cult that if you break the law in service of his immoral and criminal actions, you will face no consequences. His private militia may be comprised of these pardoned traitors, but it also will foment recruits to his cause.

With Trump in office its clear that criminality by his supporters will be rewarded. To pardon those who attempted to over throw the U.S. government on 6 January 2021 is a disgrace. But, that's Donald Trump.
Donald Trump has arrived at the Oval Office, where he has signed more executive orders and says he has pardoned about 1,500 defendants charged in the January 6 attack on the US Capitol and issued six commutations, the Associated Press reports.
Trump executive order will attempt to end birthright citizenship
The U.S. government will no longer recognize the citizenship of children born in the United States to immigrants who lack legal status, one of 10 immigration-related executive orders President Donald Trump plans to sign Monday, an administration official told reporters.
The official did not provide details on how the administration planned to implement a change that scholars say would be illegal and quickly challenged. Trump’s order would reinterpret the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which grants citizenship to all people born on U.S. soil, and exclude babies born to parents illegally in the country. The changes would apply to future births, the official said.
No president can invalidate a constitutional amendment by executive order that, under normal circumstances would clearly be unconstitutional. As these aren't normal times and given the make up of the Supreme Court with its six conservative justices there's every possibility they would allow the executive order to stand.
Doing so would grant Trump dictatorial power over very aspect of government and life in the U.S.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald J. Trump’s choice to lead the nation’s health agencies, formally asked the Food and Drug Administration to revoke the authorization of all Covid vaccines during a deadly phase of the pandemic when thousands of Americans were still dying every week.
Mr. Kennedy filed a petition with the F.D.A. in May 2021 demanding that officials rescind authorization for the shots and refrain from approving any Covid vaccine in the future.
Just six months earlier, Mr. Trump had declared the Covid vaccines a miracle. At the time Mr. Kennedy filed the petition, half of American adults were receiving their shots. Schools were reopening and churches were filling.
Its incompetent, arrogant, conspiracy lovers like RFK Jr. that will end us all. He, like so many believed a debunked study from the late 1990's linking vaccinations to autism which has led to millions of vaccine skeptics. Remember it wasn't true and study involved 12 people.

A group of Greenlanders who attended a lunch hosted by Donald Trump Jr wearing Make America Great Again caps were not dedicated supporters of the US president-elect but homeless people enticed by the prospect of free food, it has been claimed.
Trump Jnr visited the Greenlandic capital, Nuuk, last week, shortly after his father declared it was an “absolute necessity” for the US to take control of the semi-autonomous Danish territory.
During his visit, Trump Jr went to the Hotel Hans Egede for lunch with a group of people wearing Maga hats and put his father on speakerphone. The president-elect told them: “We’re going to treat you well.”
I wonder? How large would the head explosion be if a Trump ever told the truth? As they're aren't to bright about the size of a very small firecracker.
