Analysing Trump's claim that he could stand for a third presidential term
US President Donald Trump says he's not joking about trying for a third term in office. Trump told NBC there are ways he could do it - although he wasn't actively considering it. It is important to note that the US Constitution does not allow for a president to run for a third term. The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, limits presidents to two terms in office.

'This is not how you speak to your close allies' Danish FM says after Vance Greenland Visit
The Danish foreign minister, Lars Lokke Rasmussen, said he hoped the United States and Denmark could work together on Arctic security after JD Vance, the US vice-president, accused Denmark of not doing a good job keeping Greenland safe. In recorded remarks, Rasmussen said that while he did not appreciate the tone in the “accusations” made he said there were lots of ways for the US to have a stronger presence in Greenland under the terms of a defence agreement from 1951.

19th Century American Imperialism Returns
US vice-president JD Vance later says he will join unsolicited visit to Arctic island, which Mette Frederiksen says is ‘not what Greenland needs or wants’
Danish PM accuses US of ‘unacceptable pressure’ over planned Greenland visit
Mette Frederiksen, the Danish prime minister, has accused the US of putting “unacceptable pressure” on Greenland – which she has vowed to resist – before an unsolicited visit to the Arctic island by members of the Trump administration.
Later, just hours after her comments, the White House sprang a fresh surprise, as the US vice-president, JD Vance, announced he would join his wife on a trip to the territory this week.
“There was so much excitement around Usha’s visit to Greenland this Friday that I decided that I didn’t want her to have all that fun by herself, and so I’m going to join her,” Vance said in a video on X.
Greenland is a self governing territory of Denmark. Donald Trump and JD Vance have little interest in the islands security. Their interests lie in the islands rare earth minerals which Trump wants to seize for his own personal wealth.

UNLV professor killed in 2023 mass shooting is named as part of Trump’s DEI crackdown at colleges
Patricia Navarro-Velez, 39, one of three people gunned down in December 2023
A Las Vegas university professor who was killed in a mass shooting at the campus more than a year ago has been named by the Trump administration in a new investigation into Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in higher education.
Patricia Navarro-Velez, 39, was one of three people gunned down in December 2023 mass killing on the school’s campus. A spokesperson for UNLV confirmed that she had been named as part of a federal investigation by the Department of Education.
The probe is part of Donald Trump’s ongoing efforts to remove DEI programs from educational institutions and within government agencies. The feds had targeted 45 different colleges as part of their investigation. Navarro-Velez was named as one of the UNLV educators being looked at for violating Trump’s anti-DEI order that was issued in January 2025.
Patrica Navarro-Velez is dead following a mass shooting at UNLV. Yet, the orange ass clowns apparatchiks insist there be an investigation into her being part of a DEI monitoring team. Did I mention Patrica Navarro-Velez is dead? This Kafkaesque at its worst.

'Dead' Ned Johnson Turns Out To Be Very Much Alive
It took him weeks to convince the system he was breathing and to start clawing his benefits back.
See, this is the sort of thing that happens when you give amateurs too much power to do things in government they should never be allowed to do. Namely, hurt people who never did anything wrong, all under the pretense of government efficiency.
'“You wake up one day and discover you’re dead,” Johnson told me. “It’s been truly surreal.”' One can only imagine. No, strike that. I can not.
Source: Seattle Times
“DOGE Has 10 Staffers at Social Security in Hunt for Dead People,” the headlines read this past week.
I found a dead person on Social Security. Right here in Seattle, on Capitol Hill.
Of course the circumstances of Ned Johnson’s death were completely the opposite of what Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency had claimed was rampant.
“You wake up one day and discover you’re dead,” Johnson told me. “It’s been truly
And what happened? Musk's DOGE boys declared Mr Johnson dead.
Johnson is 82 and still kicking. Yet sometime last month, someone or something led Social Security to both tag him as dead and start clawing back his benefits.
Johnson’s strange trip through the netherworld began in February, when a letter from his bank arrived addressed to his wife, Pam.
“We recently received notification of LEONARD A. JOHNSON’s passing,” it began. “We offer our sincerest condolences …”
At first she figured it was a scam — her husband, after all, was sitting right there. But then the bank got to the point.
“We know this is a difficult time, and we’re here to help,” the bank wrote. “We received a request from Social Security Administration to return benefits paid to LEONARD A. JOHNSON’s account after their passing.”
“There’s nothing you need to do — we’ve deducted the funds from LEONARD A. JOHNSON’s account.”
And by the time they got it sorted, $5,201 had been stricken from his bank account. After several weeks of wrangling and convincing people that he was in fact not dead, Ned Johnson has managed to get some but not all of that money back.
surreal.”
They said Ned was dead. Ned isn't dead.

Donald Trump Attacks The Free Press
“It's a campaign, and it's by the same scum that you have been dealing with for years, like guys like Andrew Weissman, deranged Jack Smith. There's a guy named Norm Eisen. I don't even know what he looks like. His name is Norm Eisen of [Citizens for Ethics and Responsibility ]. He's been after me for nine years now. CREW is a charitable organization and and the reason I'm saying this ... is I'm only going to get one chance to say this, but these are bad people.
Trump called for the department to crack down on Eisen as well as other groups bringing lawsuits against him - while taking another shot at the media.
“They're not legitimate people. They're horrible people, they're scum. And you have to know that ... And I believe that CNN and [MSNBC] who literally write 97.6% bad about me, are political arms of the Democrat Party. And in my opinion, they're really corrupt and they're illegal. What they do is illegal,” he said.
His statements are what lead to censorship not only of the media. But of anyone who dares to criticize him. Trump is attempting to bring America under authoritarian rule.

Ayo Edebiri ‘got insane death threats’ after Elon Musk shared fake report about Pirates of the Caribbean casting
The Bear actor called Musk a fascist and an idiot after his reaction to a post from a rightwing account that claimed she was replacing Johnny Depp
Wed 12 Mar 2025 17.22 GMT
Ayo Edebiri, the actor best known for her Emmy-award winning work on The Bear, has said she received “insane death threats” after Elon Musk shared a fake news report about her being cast in a film.
On her Instagram, Edebiri recalled the furore that met Musk’s reposting of a story by “Unlimited L’s”, a rightwing account with no apparent Hollywood connection or insight, that she was to replace Johnny Depp in a reboot of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
“Disney sucks,” commented Musk at the time.
“Just remembering when I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life (idk if it’s the #1 moment, but for sure top 3) for a fake reboot of a movie I had never even heard of because of this man,” Edebiri wrote while sharing Musk’s original post. “LMAO. So not only is he double s**g h**l-ing [sieg heil-ing] fascist, he’s an idiot but anyway.”
This is what posting lies as fact will get you when co-president Musk gets involved. Death threats. Both of these a-holes must be quite proud of themselves.

Reward Russia For Invading Ukraine
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Monday that Ukraine would have to make concessions over land that Russia had taken since 2014 as part of any agreement to end the war.
Mr. Rubio spoke as he was flying to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for talks with senior Ukrainian officials, and 10 days after a contentious White House meeting between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky. The Trump administration halted military aid to Ukraine after the blowup, which centered on Mr. Trump’s refusal to include any security guarantees in a proposed deal involving Ukraine’s natural resources.
Not only will Ukraine be forced to cede 20% of the country to Russia. Americas orange ass clown will insist that Ukraine hand all of its mineral wealth to the U.S. Ukraine will receive no security guarantees from either Russia or the U.S. allowing Putin to rearm and try again in a few years time. The U.S. will further insist that Zelensky resign for the unpardonable crime of not capitulating to Trump's attempted blackmail in July of 2019 by withholding military assistance. Which he did and was impeached for it.

Summary
At least 20 people have been killed as Russian strikes hit several regions in Ukraine overnight, including Donetsk and Kharkiv, according to Ukrainian officials
Eight residential buildings and an administrative building were also reportedly damaged following strikes in Dobropillya in Donetsk
It comes after US President Donald Trump said he was "strongly considering" large-scale sanctions and tariffs on Russia, which he said is "absolutely 'pounding' Ukraine on the battlefield"
The US has limited Ukraine's access to satellite imagery and paused military and intelligence aid
Ukraine has continued to target Russia - the Russian defence ministry says it intercepted 31 drones overnight
The threat of US tariffs is unlikely to bother Vladimir Putin unduly, writes security correspondent Frank Gardner
'Another tragic night in Ukraine', says Polish PM
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk has responded to the overnight strikes in Ukraine that have killed at least 20 people.
In a post on X, he says: "This is what happens when someone appeases barbarians. More bombs, more aggression, more victims. Another tragic night in Ukraine."
Yesterday, Tusk announced that all men in Poland will undergo military training, which could increase the army from about 200,000 to around half a million - creating a reserve that is "comparable and adequate to the potential threats".
‘It’s very unpredictable’: divided Greenland prepares to vote amid Trump-inspired existential crisis
After the US president’s vow to take over the Arctic island, pro-independent voices are growing louder but some want to work with Washington
Sat 8 Mar 2025 13.27 GMT
When it comes to the issues on the table – schools, healthcare, independence – Tuesday’s election is “not that exceptional”, says Greenlandic politician Aaja Chemnitz Larsen. And yet, it will potentially be the most consequential in the Arctic island’s history.
What makes this general election unlike any other, says the Inuit Ataqatigiit member of the Danish parliament, is the global spotlight on it. “What we’re seeing is influence from the US, Denmark and other places, it is not the same as other elections.”
Women in Iran fight for rights as economic crisis bites
Women bear the brunt of economic pressures and social restrictions in Iran — yet they remain the driving force for change in the country.
Iran is in a deep economic crisis caused by corruption, mismanagement and international sanctions.
In order to collapse Iran's oil exports and put pressure on its currency, President Donald Trump has restored the US's "maximum pressure" campaign since his return to the White House.
"We can clearly feel that we are getting poorer from month to month," said Narges, who asked to be referred to by a pseudonym to protect her identity.
More than 300 Alawite civilians killed by Syria security forces, allies since Thursday, monitor says
Syrian security forces and their allies have killed 340 civilians belonging to the country's Alawite minority since Thursday, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Saturday. The violence was triggered by attacks carried out by loyalists of the deposed Assad regime.
A Syria war monitor reported on Saturday that 340 Alawite civilians have been killed in recent days by the security forces and their allies, as authorities clash with militants loyal to the former government of Bashar al-Assad.
Restoring security has been one of the most complex tasks for Syria's new authorities, installed after Islamist-led forces ousted Assad in a lightning offensive in December.
They are now facing their fiercest attacks yet by members of the Assad clan's Alawite minority and have launched a major counter-operation in the ethnic group's Mediterranean heartland triggered by deadly clashes on Thursday.
South Korea's President Yoon free; trials continue after court quashes detention
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol walked out of a detention centre in Seoul on Saturday after prosecutors decided not to appeal a court decision to cancel the impeached leader's arrest warrant on insurrection charges.
Yoon remains suspended from his duties, and his criminal and impeachment trials continue over his short-lived martial law imposition on December 3.
The Seoul Central District Court cancelled Yoon's arrest warrant on Friday, citing the timing of his indictment and "questions about the legality" of the investigation process.
Israel keeps up Gaza blockade; Muslim nations endorse Egypt-led plan
- Israeli forces launch more attacks on Gaza, killing two Palestinians in Rafah, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government defies global calls to end its weeklong blockade of the Strip.
- The Organization for Islamic Cooperation endorses an Egypt-led proposal for Gaza’s reconstructions that counters US President Donald Trump’s proposal to take over and turn the Strip into a “Middle Eastern Riviera”.
- Yemen’s Houthis give Israel four days to lift its blockade of food, medicine and shelter into Gaza or face renewed “naval operations”.

The Never Ending Foibles Of The Trump Administration
A report by the news agency Reuters said that a US military deportation flight to Guatemala cost at least $4,675 per migrant, according to data provided by US and Guatemalan officials.
That is more than five times the $853 cost of a one-way first-class ticket on American Airlines from El Paso, Texas, the departure point for the flight, according to a review of publicly available airfares.
It is also significantly higher than the cost of a commercial charter flight by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Donald Krasnov Trump Cancels The First Amendment. That's All!
It doesn't work that way, Donald.
Donald Krasnov Trump took to Truth Social to say that he will strip federal funding from schools that allow such "Illegal protests," and that "agitators will be imprisoned," adding "NO MASKS!" Interestingly, the Proud Boys, and some of his Jan. 6th rioters wore masks. So, Pumpkin Pol Pot is vowing to imprison any protesters who hurt his feelings with no regard for the First Amendment. He's confusing the United States with Russia again.
"All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests," he wrote. "Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came. American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on on [sic] the crime, arrested. NO MASKS! Thank you for your attention to this matter."
Lumpy thinks people protesting against him are from other countries. Agent Krasnov's message didn't go down well.
Donny believes he can just cancel those parts of the constitution that he disagrees with. Like he's king of something.

Trump Seeks To Ruin Americas Economy
In 2020 Donald Trump reached a new traded agreement with Canada and Mexico which replaced NAFTA signed in 1994. Trump called NAFTA the worst trade agreement in history.
Imposing tariffs on everything Americans buy from Mexico and Canada represents an extraordinary political gamble by a president who was returned to power by voters angered over years of high inflation. The new import taxes are likely to raise the market prices of Mexican tequila, beer and avocados, along with Canadian crude oil and lumber, testing consumer patience with the president’s approach.

This Is Why Trump Hates Zelensky
As 2020 approached it appeared that former Vice President Joe Biden might once again seek the presidency. In anticipation the administration sought compromising information on Biden and his family. An opportunity arrived by way of Ukraine where Biden’s oldest son Hunter had business dealings with Burisma, a Ukrainian energy exploration company. In July of 2019 Donald Trump had a phone conversation with the newly elected Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky. President Zelensky refused to abide the White House request and Donald Trump withheld critical military aid Ukraine needed to keep Russia from making further advances in the Donbass region.
That phone call would result in Donald Trump being impeached by the House of Representatives in December of 2020.
