Analysing Trump's claim that he could stand for a third presidential term

 

US President Donald Trump says he's not joking about trying for a third term in office. Trump told NBC there are ways he could do it - although he wasn't actively considering it. It is important to note that the US Constitution does not allow for a president to run for a third term. The 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, limits presidents to two terms in office.
