The Department of Justice has sued the State of Alaska over its midterm election ballot. What's they're concern? Two candidates seeking to represent Alaska in the U.S. Senate have the same family name of Sullivan.
Their names are listed like the is on the ballot: Sullivan, Daniel J Jr. showing no party affiliation. Sullivan, Dan S. (Registered Republican) Incumbent. The ballot clearly states that one is the incumbent Republican Senator currently serving in the U.S. Senate and the other, Daniel J Sullivan Jr. is not only, an unaffiliated candidate and clearly not the incumbent. One has to believe that the DOJ views Alaska's Republican voters as illiterate or somehow unable to understand what the word incumbent means.
Donald Trump through the Department of Justice is trying to ensure that Dan Sullivan the incumbent won't end up on the wrong side of the vote on November 3rd. Since his return to office in January 2025 Donald Trump has worked tirelessly to ensure that Republicans retain full control of government. Be it through gerrymandering, claiming voter fraud, ending vote by mail or trying to gain full control of elections which the constitution states lie with the states. Thereby avoiding centralized election system which prevents any single entity having control over the countries election which could lead to rigged outcomes and cancelled elections.
