NFL asks DHS to take down video featuring highlights of former Eagles star Brian Dawkins

The NFL has asked the Department of Homeland Security to take down a video showing highlights of Hall of Fame safety Brian Dawkins’ iconic pregame walkout that the federal agency posted on social media in reference to a purported caravan of immigrants approaching the U.S. border.

The video montage, which shows the former NFL star chanting “The time has come” to himself before showing highlights of his big hits on the field, was posted to X on Sunday, accompanied by the caption “Our time has come.”

“The league has requested DHS take down the video,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said Monday.

Jake Tapper: Trump’s Outside Advisers Pushing For Martial Law Takeover Of Midterms

CNN's Jake Tapper hosted a segment on Thursday highlighting a report from The Atlantic citing multiple outside advisors to Trump telling him to take over the 2026 midterm elections by declaring martial law or by any other means.

Tapper normally wouldn't bother covering these types of stories unless they have something to do with Pres. Biden's health, but now he's not so sure, since former DNI advisor Tulsi Gabbard obtained electronic voting machines seized from Puerto Rico, while the FBI examined ballots from Fulton County, Georgia.

"What is the president planning?" Tapper asked at the end of the segment.

TAPPER: A new report from The Atlantic magazine details how a slew of outside advisors to President Trump are urging him to take control of federal elections this November.

A key player in the scheme, according to The Atlantic, is an attorney named Peter Tickton. He's a longtime friend of Trump. They went to military school together as teenagers.

Tickton told The Atlantic magazine that Trump could decide to declare martial law on or around election day. Tickton is also the attorney for convicted election denier Tina Peters out of Colorado. Her sentence was commuted by Colorado Governor Jared Polis.

Soon after her sentence was, her time in prison was commuted, she met with President Trump at the White House.

This is what Peter said about that meeting.

PETERS: There is a plan. Yesterday when I was with the president, he talked to, and I can't get into the plan. Understood, please don't. But we talked, you know; he basically said to his lead counsel to do what I was asking.

TAPPER: There is a plan, says Tina Peters.

And it's not just the figure circling the president saying this out loud.

President Trump himself has publicly called for greater federal control of elections.

'I'm a f**king US citizen': ICE mistakenly targets man in Illinois

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents mistakenly detained a US citizen in a Chicago suburb Sunday morning, leaving him on the ground with various injuries, according to local authorities. The man was found on the ground by police in Evanston, Illinois, after officers were dispatched around 9:49 a.m. over reports of two men arguing, Evanston Police Department said in a statement.

'Great deal of scepticism' as Trump launches own TV channel

The White House launched a "Trump TV" stream on Monday evening, days after Trump banned three media outlets from the White House. The White House said the stream will run videos and highlights of what it calls the Trump administration's achievements but critics have compared it to state propaganda networks seen in autocratic countries such as North Korea, reports the Guardian’s Washington bureau chief David Smith.
North Korea won't have to worry about competition from Trump's low rent state tv channel.

Trump’s Census Proposal Could Cut House Seats From Red States

A Trump administration proposal to exclude some types of immigrants from the 2030 census might not expand the congressional map for Republicans, and could even result in fewer House seats in red states.

If congressional seats were redistributed based on recent census figures, excluding undocumented immigrants and other non citizens without green cards could cause Texas to lose a congressional seat it would otherwise have gained, according to a New York Times analysis. Minnesota, a blue-leaning state, could gain a seat.

The states shaded in orange: Texas, Florida and Rhode Island could loss seats under this proposal. The states shaded in green: Minnesota,Ohio and Oregon would gain seats.

Another "brilliant plan" from the mind of Donald Trump. Obviously, he never thinks these decisions all the way through.

Trump bans CNN, MSNBC and Politico from White House over reporting

Donald Trump has announced that CNN, MSNBC and Politico will be banned from the White House, saying they report what he calls fake news.

Trump has previously restricted access for media organisations, including the Associated Press. The latest decision is expected to be challenged in court, with questions over First Amendment protections for journalists.

Welcome one and all to the dictatorship of the insecure and immature man/child.

Susan "Concern Troll" Collins Warns Canada About Tightening Ties With The EU

"That doesn't help rebuild the good relationship that we once had and that I want us to have again," Collins told CBC News

Source: CBC

A long-serving Republican senator from a border state is warning Prime Minister Mark Carney against strengthening Canada's economic and political ties to the European Union.

Sen. Susan Collins of Maine — facing a re-election battle in November's midterms in a state highly dependent on cross-border trade — says it's unfortunate that Canada is turning toward the EU in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs.

"That doesn't help rebuild the good relationship that we once had and that I want us to have again," Collins told CBC News correspondent Katie Simpson at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

Susan was "concerned" about Brett Kavanaugh until she voted to confirm him.  Susan was "concerned" about Kristi Noem, RFK Jr and Pete Kegsbreath until she voted to confirm them. Susan Collins is America's Concern Troll.

'This is sick': Outrage as Trump taunts rally goers with hurricane relief

President Donald Trump told North Carolinians that he'll withhold FEMA funding needed for hurricane relief unless the candidate he endorsed wins the midterms.

On Wednesday, Trump showed up in Gastonia, North Carolina, to stump for GOP Senate nominee Michael Whatley, and he told the voters at the rally that Whatley had to win if the state were to receive any additional FEMA funding as the state continues to recover from Hurricane Helene.

"We spent more than $2 billion in FEMA funding, and you know you're waiting for some additional money," Trump reminded his rally attendees. "I'm going to get that to you, Michael. Now, if Michael loses, I'm not sending it."

'We don't need new laws,' Nvidia boss says as he calls for self-regulation on AI

Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang says there's no need for new laws on AI - instead AI companies should "simply not release anything that they are not confident will be safe"

He's one of several AI bosses speaking at a conference in California. Anthropic's boss says it is tempting to "attack" competitors but it is more responsible to try and establish industry-wide standards

Self regulation is the industry's method of stopping the government from imposing its own regulatory scheme.  Until the creation of the EPA polluters in the United States were rarely held accountable for any wrongdoing. America's automobile industry fought for years to stop the government from making seat belts mandatory just as they've fought against most safety improvements. They aren't the only industry that does this. Railroads, tobacco companies, the trucking industry and the chemical industry.  Your safety isn't their concern. Profits are.

Trump posts AI map showing US 'takeover' of North America, Iceland and Caribbean

Donald Trump shared an AI-generated map Monday appearing to show the US absorbing Canada, Mexico, Greenland, Iceland, Cuba and parts of the Caribbean into a giant “United States of America”. Shared with no explanation, the post sparked diplomatic backlash, with Iceland summoning its ambassador and Mexico reiterating its sovereignty. Denmark also pushed back over Greenland. Online, the map has triggered widespread ridicule and questions about Trump’s fitness for office.
