Analysts weigh in: Georgia election board requires ballots be hand-counted

Allies of former President Donald Trump who control the Georgia State Election Board approved a new rule requiring counties to hand-count the number of ballots cast at polling places on Election

The hand counting of ballots is fraught with ways to, not only miscount the totals for each candidate. But could lead to long delays in certifying the election. In Maricopa county Arizona it took more than 2 months the recount to be completed. It showed that Joe Biden had won the county.
Another for foisting the hand counting of ballots onto local election officials is to prevent voter fraud. In person voter fraud happens at a rate of 0.08%.

The idea here is to sow doubt into the integrity of the electoral process and give Donald Trump a reason to claim voter fraud should he lose the election.
