In June of 2015 when Donald Trump descended that golden escalator announcing his campaign his speech was an openly racist screed aimed at Mexicans. That moment allowed racism and hate to bleed into the mainstream with few consequences.
Today more than ever the media is normalizing and enabling Trumps' worst personal traits.
