Anger grew as the new Novi Sad mayor was elected on Monday. Novi Sad’s previous mayor, Milan Đurić, was forced to resign after 15 people died in the collapse of a concrete canopy at the city's railway station. Mass protests and growing discontent in the country have threatened the rule of the country's president, Aleksandar Vučić, since the incident happened.
