Will new Trump tariffs decimate Germany's auto industry?

 

Donald Trump’s US tariffs on non-US cars are now in effect, and could be a huge blow to German auto makers. Hildegard Müller, president of the German auto lobby group VDA says the tariffs are a disaster while Ifo analyst Lisandra Flach says the EU needs to not respond too hastily. How much damage can the German car industry really take?
