The U.S. is planning to withdraw around 5,000 troops from Germany, while also putting key weapons plans — including long-range Tomahawk missiles — on hold. For decades, those troops and systems were central to NATO’s deterrence strategy. What changed? The move comes after tensions escalated between Washington and Berlin — including sharp criticism from German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who accused the U.S. of lacking a clear strategy in the Iran conflict.
Donald Trump wholly incapable of dealing with any criticism no matter how constructive is the reason for the threat to withdrawal these soldiers. He's an adult who behaves like a the spoiled child that he is.
