Trump’s new executive order excludes Russia from major sanctions in a law Congress passed in September. The president's October 16 executive order is a betrayal of Ukraine, and his financial gift to Russia came within days of an “outage” of Elon Musk’s Starshield military satellites. The technical “outage” impaired Ukraine’s air defenses against Russia. One Ukrainian officer told Politico:
“This is comparable to a nuclear strike against us. All operations are on hold.”
